Missions
One of the first ways you will earn credits in Star Wars Galaxies is completing missions. In addition to any credits that you may find during the mission, you will also receive a reward when upon completion. You can get missions from non-player characters (NPCs) and from the mission terminals that are scattered around the cities of Star Wars Galaxies. There are generic mission terminals, as well as mission terminals for specific classes.
Crafting
Crafting weapons, armor, vehicles and other goods is another way to earn credits. Becoming a high-level crafter will take some time, and will most probably require an initial investment of credits for ingredients. However, being able to craft expensive items such as high-class weapons and vehicles can be quite lucrative. In addition, crafting your own equipment is generally cheaper than buying it. To get the best price for your crafted goods, use the Bazaar Terminals scattered throughout the game to sell to other players. This is often a better deal than selling to a vendor.
Mining
With the addition of space mining to Star Wars Galaxies, players have another way to make credits. If you have a ship, a mining laser and a cargo hold, you can mine asteroids for precious minerals by breaking off small chunks from the whole and collecting minerals in your cargo hold. Although you will have to invest in a mining laser and a cargo hold, in addition to any equipment for your ship, you can make a decent profit by selling the precious minerals that you find.
Looting
The fall-back for making money is looting your enemies. Enemy NPCs will carry both items and credits. This can be especially lucrative if you are fighting high-level enemies, or looting enemy space ships. In planetside battles, you will be able to loot a fallen enemy by clicking on the yellow disk floating above their corpse. In space combat, you are given their loot automatically.
