How to Get Unmuted on AQW

AdventureQuest Worlds, or AQW, is an online massive multiplayer role playing game in which you can guide a character through wizardry, battles and adventures. All AQW players agree to the game's terms and conditions, which prohibit using the chat function to abuse other players or for advertising purposes. If you break AQW's chat rules then the site will mute your account's chat function for a certain period of time.

Instructions

Wait for Mute Expiry

  Open the email inbox that is linked to your AQW account. Log in to your email using your username and password.

  Click the most recent email from the AQW support staff.

  Read the email to learn how long you must wait for your account to become unmuted. Typically accounts will be muted for one, three or seven days. However, if your account has been muted several times previously, then AQW may mute the account permanently; if this happens, you must petition for your chat to be reinstated.

  Wait for the number of days specified in your email. Once the period of time has passed you may again use the game's chat function.
Appeal Permanent Mute

  Open your Web browser and go to aq.com/help/mailer.asp?c=21.

  Type your AQWorlds account name in the first field, then type your email address in the second and third text boxes.

  Type an explanation for why AQWorlds should revoke your permanent AQWorlds chat ban.

  Check the box next to "I agree to the Terms and Conditions."

  Click "Send Message." AQWorlds staff will review your appeal and will send you an email with more information.
