Horseshoes
In ̶0;Pioneer Trail,̶1; horseshoes are used to purchase bonus items such as special animals, buildings and crops. You can also use the horseshoes to complete collections or special request items needed to finish a mission. Horseshoes can also purchase energy refills or special decorative items that are typically available during the holiday season. Outside of coins, horseshoes are the only way to make an in-game purchase.
Collections
Certain collections in ̶0;Pioneer Trail̶1; net a horseshoe when you complete them. For instance, the School House collection nets one horseshoe upon completion. You can complete a collection by obtaining all of the necessary items. Focus on performing the tasks to gain the items. For instance, if you need to find a pen to complete a collection, collect from the school house as often as possible to collect a pen. It may take several attempts to collect the items you need.
Level Up
You can receive free horseshoes by leveling up on the game. The quickest way to level up is to gain more experience points. Points are awarded for planting and harvesting crops, visiting neighbors and collecting from businesses such as the hotel. Plant as many crops as possible to maximize the points you can receive. Add more neighbors to have more to visit on a daily basis. When you visit a neighbor, perform all of the various tasks available to earn additional points. When you level up, a notification is displayed detailing your reward.
Purchasing Horseshoes
As a last resort, you can purchase horseshoes through the ̶0;Get Horseshoes̶1; tab at the top of the game play screen. The best time to purchase the item is during a sale. You will receive notification of a sale when you first access the game or by an icon on the left of the game play screen. Sales often offer discounts up to 50 percent off of the purchase price of horseshoes.
