Gaia Gold, also known simply as Gold, is one of two in-game currencies in Gaia Online. Players use Gold to buy items such as clothing, accessories and home décor as well as services such as house changes and upgrades. Gaia Online provides users with many ways of earning or winning Gaia Gold on the website or in the virtual world environment of Gaia Towns. The amount of Gold you get depends on your level of participation. The more you interact with the game and other players, the more Gold you can accumulate in a short time.

Instructions

  Verify your email address to get Gaia Gold. Click the link in the email sent to you when you signed up for Gaia Online. As of October 2011, you get 200 Gaia Gold for verifying your address.

  Complete the Gaia Tutorial when you first sign up rather than skipping it when the site offers the bypass. When you complete all of the tasks given to you within in the tutorial, you get a lot of free Gold.

  Sign up for Gaia email site alerts to get extra Gold one time. As of October 2011, you can get up to 1,250 G for signing up.

  Surf the Gaia Online website to earn Gold. Any time you explore any part of the site, you may see a message on the update bar indicating that you earned Gold for surfing. In addition, if you comment on profiles and post in the Forums while surfing you earn extra Gold.

  Look for Gold in Gaia Towns. Select ̶0;Worlds̶1; on the options bar and click the ̶0;Towns̶1; link to bring up the Gaia Towns screen. Click any tree or flower bush you come across to see if you can shake loose Gaia Gold growing on the trees or hidden in the bushes. Click any large rock to kick the rock to see if you can reveal Gaia Gold hidden underneath.

  Select the ̶0;Daily Chance̶1; cart when it appears on the header under the bar near the top right corner of the screen to win Gold or other items such as clothing as a prize.

  Play games to earn Gold. Select ̶0;Games̶1; on the options bar and select a game on the drop-down menu or the Games screen. Click any game icon to open it, read the instructions and then play.

  Vote in Gaia Forum polls to earn Gaia Gold. Select ̶0;Forums̶1; on the options bar, scroll down to the Misc section and click the ̶0;Gaia Polls̶1; link. Select one of the polls offered, complete the poll by selecting an answer to the poll question that best matches your opinion on the subject and then click the ̶0;Vote̶1; button.

  Vote ̶0;Art,̶1; ̶0;Writing,̶1; ̶0;Homes̶1; and ̶0;Avatars̶1; by other players in the Arenas to get Gold. Select ̶0;Forums̶1; and click the ̶0;Art Arena̶1; to go to the Arenas screen or select ̶0;World̶1; and ̶0;Barton Town̶1; on the maps, or the Teleport Choose a Location drop-down menu, and then click ̶0;Arena̶1; in the Barton Town location list. On the Arenas screen, click one of the four categories and then rate another user̵7;s creations.
