Update Flash Player
Get the latest version of Flash Player; your version might not be up to date, causing the game to freeze. You can download the latest version from the Adobe website. The installer will automatically install the correct and most up-to-date version of the software for your browser. Play the game again, and press the "F5" button on your keyboard to refresh the screen if Cryptids Island freezes.
Reload Saved Game
Save frequently to avoid having to do the area all over again every time Cryptids Island freezes. Click the blue "Save" button on the bottom left-hand corner of the "Poptropica" game screen when you are about to leave an area. Your cursor turns into a pointing hand with the text "Go Right" or "Go Left" when you are about to leave an area, so you always know when to save. Enter a username and password on the save screen if you have not logged in as a returning player. This saves your progress and allows you to log back into the game and continue from your last save spot.
Clear Computer Memory
Close down any unnecessary background programs running. Such programs consume memory and can cause the game to freeze if there isn't enough memory available for it to load the next area. Close down any open tabs that you are not using before restarting the game after it freezes, to prevent it from happening again. Restart your computer, and do not load any other programs before trying "Poptropica" again, to conserve even more memory for it.
Clear Browser Cache
Log into your "Poptropica" account using a different browser if you experience repeated freezes. Since the problem might be due to a bad cache, using a new browser will allow you to get past the section that freezes. Alternatively, restart the game, and go to another island first before returning to Cryptids Island. This will also clear the cache for the island.
