How to Make an Old Fox Appear in MapleStory

The "Old Fox," also known as the ̶0;Nine-Tailed Fox̶1; is one of the bosses in the free massive multiplayer online role-playing game "MapleStory." In order to make Old Fox appear, you have to travel to the Korean Folk Town area where she is the boss character. She also appears in a hidden area, so you will need to do a bit of exploration in order to locate it. In order for the Old Fox to appear, you must also be a member of a party, otherwise you will not be able to gain entry to the area.

Instructions

  Start the game and log in to your account. Select your world, channel and finally character to start playing.

  Travel to the toy town of Ludibrium by using the airship from Orbis. Exit Ludibrium through the East Entrance which takes you to Helios Tower.

  Enter the tower and then make your way down from the 100th floor to the 99th where there is an elevator. Use the elevator to reach the 2nd floor of the tower. Climb down the ladders until you reach a doorway that looks like an owl holding a book.

  Enter the doorway to reach the library and press "Up" on your keyboard while standing in front of the large book hovering in the air. This automatically warps you to Korean Folk town.

  Walk to the far right-hand side of town and use the exit on top of the hill. This takes you straight to the "Entrance to Black Mountain" area. Walk to the right and exit the map via the portal on the bottom to reach the "Around the Pond" area.

  Walk to the right and then take the portal at the top of the waterfall to reach the Tiger Ridge area. Continue on to the right and take the bottom portal to reach the Fox Ridge area.

  Enter the cave immediately to your right as you enter the Fox Ridge area and you'll arrive at a hidden map with lots of foxes roaming around.

  Press "P" to open the party menu and create a party if you are not already part of one. Double-click the "Master Monster" portal on the left of the area to enter and battle the Old Fox. Defeat her to get the "Old Fox Tail."
