How to Start G5 on Mabinogi

"Mabinogi" is a free to play online fantasy game that makes money by charging for new generations. Each of these generations offers new quests, characters and items. Generation five or G5 offers a new quest involving elves and a difficult to handle desert environment. Starting G5 or any later generation quests with the elves in the desert requires finishing up tutorial quests and finishing a series of simple adventures.

Instructions

- 1
  Sign onto "Mabinogi" and select "Elves of the Desert" as your quest. Create your character using the character creation process.

  Talk to Vena after the game begins to start your tutorial quests. Avoid saying "Head to Town of Elves" or else you will miss the tutorial quests. Play these quests to earn experience points and items before you begin.

  Take the bow and arrows that Vena offers you after you begin the tutorial quest. Begin shooting at the gray armadillos by clicking on them with your mouse cursor. Select the speed and power and click the left mouse button to shoot an arrow.

  Shoot all three armadillos and then click on the crystal ball. Select "Complete" on the quest window to finish. Talk to Vena again to get the location and description of the stone wall. Follow the flashing light on your in-game mini-map to find the wall.

  Click on the stone wall to see a clip stating that you have found the wall. Go back to the crystal ball and complete the quest. Receive your next quest from the ball, which is called "Sketch the Statue."

  Talk to Vena to receive a piece of paper before you leave. Go back to the wall and follow it south till you find a statue. Stand as close to the statue as possible. Right click on the paper and click on "Use" to sketch. Select the statue to sketch it.

  Remove any items from your hands and click on the statue. Collect the fragment that falls off the statue by clicking on it. Return to the crystal ball and complete the quest. Talk to Vena to get an L-Rod.

  Speak to the crystal ball to get a new quest. Travel to the blinking dot. Equip the L-Rod and walk around the area until the L-Rod begins to flash and beep loudly. Press X when it beeps four times to collect a hidden item. Return to the crystal ball.

  Receive a new quest from the crystal ball and talk to Vena to receive a Cold Wind L-Rod. Go to any desert and press the "N" button to open the action tab. Select "Land Maker" from this menu. Watch the landscape change until it is done and go back to the crystal ball.

  Talk to Vena after finishing the quest to receive the Sasha Robe and a short bow. Go southwest to find a path that leads to Filia to begin the game.
