How to Become a Mage on Flyff

̶0;Flyff,̶1; short for ̶0;Fly for Fun,̶1; is a free fantasy-themed massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Unlike in similar MMORPGs, you do not pick your job -- commonly known as a "class" in other games -- immediately when you start the game; instead, all new characters start out as vagrants. You have to level your character by completing quests and killing monsters until you reach level 15; only then do you decide which path to take and begin your job quest chain. Mage is one of four jobs you can select at level 15; they stand back from the main melee of a battle and take down their enemies with powerful magic.

Instructions

Drillmaster Wingyei

  Travel to Eastern Flarine after you reach level 15.

  Speak to Marche the magic merchant and buy three blinkwings of Saint Morning and two blinkwings of Flaris. These blinkwings will teleport you to the respective towns, saving you a lot of time when completing your quests.

  Use one of the blinkwings to teleport to Saint Morning. Travel to the base of the sloping path leading to Tina and the docks and speak to Wingyei.
Vagrant Master Magician
- 4
  Accept the quest Wingyei gives you to kill 15 captain abiats and 10 small burudengs within seven minutes. Wingyei teleports you to Flaris to start the quest.

  Kill 15 abiats and 10 burudengs to complete the task.

  Use a blinkwing of Saint Morning and speak to Wingyei to turn in your quest.
Arm of Magician
- 7
  Accept Wingyei̵7;s next mission to collect materials needed for the Arm of Magician quest.

  Use a blinkwing of Flaris.
- 9
  Kill abiatts to collect 10 twinklestones, pukepukes to collect 5 chupim and lawolfs to collect a slain.

  Use a blinkwing of Saint Morning and take the twinklestones, chupims and slain to Hee. You can find him north of Martin.
Magician Skills

  Listen to the story Hee tells you about magician skills. He tells you to locate a lost book and take it to Hastan. Accept the quest to find the Book of Technique.

  Use a blinkwing of Flaris. Travel north to the river of weeping and look on the three islands for the Book of Technique.

  Take the book to Hastan and turn in the quest. You can find him northeast of Pukepukes, southeast from Grownup Lawolfs.
Duty of Magician
- 14
  Listen to Hastan̵7;s story and accept the final quest to kill the monster Seido at the base of the great tree.
- 15
  Use the blinkwing Hasten has given you to get to Saint Morning and go out the southeast exit to get to the great tree.
- 16
  Kill Seido to complete the quest.
- 17
  Return to Saint Morning and speak to Lopaze to turn in the quest. She is standing next to Wingyei. Lopaze congratulates you for completing the final task and promotes you to a magician.
