How to Make a Clan Chat in RS

Originally released in 2001, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game "RuneScape" is one of the oldest graphic MMORPGs and is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the most popular free MMORPG in the world. One feature of RuneScape is the ability to create in-game clans, which allow like-minded players to play together as a group. RuneScape also offers a clan chat feature so that members of the same clan can talk using the in-game chat interface without worrying about non-clan members seeing the conversations.

Instructions

  Navigate to the RuneScape home page at runescape.com, and click the "Play Now" or "Play with Facebook" button to launch the RuneScape game client in your browser. Log in to your account when prompted on the game login page.

  Open the clan interface by clicking the icon with three yellow men icon on the button bar at the bottom of sidebar interface. The clan interface allows you to view information about your current clan and displays the clan chat window related to that clan. All players are automatically logged in to their clan's chat channel immediately upon logging in to the game.

  Place two slashes before a chat message to send it to the clan chat channel, as in "// Hello, how is everyone?" All logged in members of the clan will receive your message through the clan chat channel and can respond in kind.

  Click the green dot in the lower-right corner of the clan interface to open the clan membership list; then click the icon in the upper-left corner of the membership list to enter "Visited Clan Chat" mode. Enter the official name of another clan to access the clan's chat as a guest. Place three slashes before a chat message to send it to the clan chat channel of a clan you're viewing as a guest, as in "/// Hello, I am a guest in this clan chat."

  Log out of your RuneScape account or close your browser window to exit the clan chat.
