How to Do Barbarian Assault

Travel to the Barbarian Outpost. The Outpost is located to the northwest of Seers' Village. The easiest way to travel to the Outpost is to use a Games Necklace, which can be purchased on the Grand Exchange. A Games Necklace has the power to teleport you to several different locations, one of which is the Outpost.

Talk to Captain Cain, an NPC within the Outpost. Captain Cain will require you to play through all of the game tutorials before you are allowed to join a team. There are ten tutorials in all, each of which takes five to ten minutes to complete. The tutorials will walk you through each of the roles in the game, which are very complex. By the time the tutorials are complete, you will have practical knowledge of how to play the game.

Join a team, or create one of your own. Each team requires a minimum of four players and must include an Attacker, a Defender, a Healer and a Collector. Within the Outpost's waiting area, you can either use the available team scrolls to form a team, or you can talk to other players in the area to ask them if you might join their team.

Start the game. You and your team will have to face ten waves of Penance monsters, followed by their Queen. The Attacker's job is to kill all of the hostile enemies. Defenders use traps and barricades to stop the Penance monsters in their tracks. A Collector must run around picking up Penance monster eggs, which are to be placed in the Egg Hopper. Healers have the all-important task of keeping everyone else alive.
