Determine what kind of chair you are looking for, since each chair serves a different function. Make a list of what you will need your chair for such as work, events, for collection or for special purposes such as sitting at the beach.
Press "Ctrl" and "F" at the same time during game-play to open up a search bar. Type in the name of chair you want into the search box, then wait while a list of chairs loads. Locate the chair you want to purchase. Make sure you have enough coins to purchase the chair, and if not, return to the search box after you have acquired enough through jobs, trading or fighting.
Navigate to the "MapleStory: Guide to Chairs" site if you unsure of the name or type of chair you are looking for. Browse the left-hand side of the homepage, which contains a list of all the chairs and their functions. Press "Ctrl" and "F" during game-play once you have the name of the chair that you wish to purchase, and repeat the above step.
Visit other members and strike up a trading deal if they own a certain chair you want that's not listed in your search results, such as extinct chairs or past event chairs. Note that not all players will have the chair you are looking for. Chat with different players until you find your chair, then make a fair trade.
