How to Play GOP in RuneScape

Runecrafting is a useful crafting ability within "RuneScape," and if your runecrafting skill level has reached level 50, you can use it for a bit of friendly competition as well. The Great Orb Project (GOP) is an activity within the Runecrafting Guild. This game is played with two teams of two to five players each. The object of GOP is to place colored orbs on your team's altar and to prevent the other team from doing the same. Whichever team has the most orbs after two minutes wins the round.

  Use the Attractor Wand to pull orbs toward your altar or to pull them away from other players. The best method for collecting orbs is to stand behind the altar and grab orbs directly in front of you. Since you will be battling the other team, you won't be able to stay behind the altar forever. Depending on how many players you have, it is often wise to assign some players to attracting orbs and others to defense.

  Use the Repeller Wand to push orbs toward your altar or to push them away from other players. Repelling is generally the best way to keep the other team from scoring. By knocking the orbs away from your opponents, you'll force them to chase after the orbs instead of running toward you.

  Create barriers with the Barrier Generator to stop the movement of orbs. The barriers can be used in one of two ways. You can set them up to prevent other players from being able to touch your orbs, or you can use them to block the other team's way. You won't be able to get any orbs through a barrier, even if you set them up yourself, so be strategic about where you place them.
