How to Get a New Character's Hair in MapleStory Big Bang

After creating your character in the massive multiplayer online role playing game "Maple Story," the only way to change his hairstyle is by using special coupons. Before the Big Bang patch, you could get EXP coupons which, when redeemed at a hair salon, would give you an "experimental" hair style. There was also a Royal Hair coupon that made some exclusive styles available. Following the patch, this has been replaced with the so-called Hairstyle Coupon (VIP) and Hairstyle Coupon (REG.) These allow you to visit any of the hairdressers in the gameworld to give your character a brand-new hairstyle. Those coupons are not free, however, and getting your hands on one will require spending some cash.

  Start the game and log into your account using your username and password. Double-click the world and channel you want to play in and then click on your character to start playing.

  Press the tilde ("~") key on your keyboard to enter the "MapleStory" cash shop. Click the "ETC." tab at the top of the screen and then click the "Beauty Parlor" tab just below it.

  Click the "Buy" button next to Hairstyle Coupon (REG) or Hairstyle Coupon (VIP) to purchase it. The REG coupon is cheaper, but will give you a random new hairstyle when you redeem it. The VIP coupon is more expensive, but allows you to choose what new hairstyle you want for your character when you redeem it. You can buy both with NX Credits, a virtual currency that is for sale in the form of prepaid game cards or can be purchased online.

  Click the "Exit" button at the bottom left corner of the shop to return to the game. Travel to a town such as Amoria, Ariant, CBD, Edelstein, Henesys Market, Kerning City, Ludibrium, Mu Lung, Orbis Park or Showa Town, where you will find hair salons.

  Enter the salon of your choice and speak to the person marked as "assistant" to use your REG coupon and the person marked as "owner" to use your VIP coupon.

  Click on the "Remove All" button to show your character without his armor and accessories that might obscure the hair. Click the "Next" and "Back" buttons to cycle through all the available hairstyles if you are using the VIP coupon. Click "Ok" to accept the hairstyle. You will get the new hairstyle for your character and lose the coupon.
