How to Get a Whisker from the Underworld Dog in Mythology on Poptropica

Developed by Family Education Network, ̶0;Poptropica̶1; is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game aimed at a young audience. Players travel through a series of islands interacting with other characters and taking part in various missions and quests. Each island has its own particular theme. One of the islands in the game is Mythology Island, populated with creatures and beings from Roman and Greek mythology. During one of the quests on Mythology Island, Zeus tasks you with collecting a series of items, including a whisker from the underworld dog Cerberus.

Instructions

  Travel to the Garden of the Sphinx and take a pomegranate from the trees.

  Visit the Grove of Temples and enter Apollo̵7;s Temple. Pick up a reed pipe from the right side of the room. Walk up to the female statue that also is holding a reed pipe. She will offer to teach you a song as long as you can play along with her. Copy the notes she is playing on her reed pipe in order to obtain the song.

  Leave Apollo̵7;s Temple and enter Hades̵7; Temple. Use the pomegranate as an offering. The door to the Pit of Hades will open. Jump into it. You will reappear on a boat on the River Styx.

  Stay alive for the duration of your boat trip on the River Styx. Avoid falling stalactites by moving left or right in the boat. Duck down when the flaming skulls appear and jump up when the river monsters attack. Eventually you will come to the other side of the River Styx.

  Using your reed pipe, play the tune the statue had previously taught you. Cerberus will be put into a state of sleep by it. Click on the sleeping Cerberus to pluck a whisker from him.
