How to Get Past the Secret Door in Poptropica on Shark Tooth Island

The secret door on Shark Tooth Island in ̶0;Poptropica̶1; is located under the ancient temple ruins. You must get past this door to get the final ingredients for the Medicine Man̵7;s potion to calm the Great Booga giant shark and rescue Professor Hammerhead and a boy trapped on a deserted island. The door lock is a shark face with circular eyes, a triangular nose and a mouth filled with two rows of sharp teeth. To unlock the door, you must enter a code represented by symbols on the teeth. You will need to go on two short side missions and traverse the underground passageways to enter the correct sequence.

Instructions

Professor Hammerhead̵7;s Journal

  Go to the Shark Tooth Island Shark Museum.

  Jump down to the second floor on the left and then click the journal on the stand to read it. The journal will reveal that the code written in English is the word ̶0;OPEN.̶1; The journal also has a translation key so you can learn the code in symbols, but the information is missing where a shark took a bite out of the journal.

  Close the journal and exit the museum.
Missing Journal Page

  Go right until you reach the Ancient Ruins. Speak with the girl with the braids. She will tell you that she had a page from the journal, but the wind blew it onto the roof.

  Continue right until you reach a stone block in your path. Push the block right until it rests beneath a hanging vine.

  Jump up on to the block and then up to the vine. Climb the vine to the first platform. Jump up to the platform and then up to the next platform.

  Walk to the left edge of the platform, place your cursor at the top left corner of the screen until it turns into a green arrow and then click to jump on to the temple roof.

  Go left and then click the page to add the Translation Key card to your Items bag. Jump off the roof.
Underground Passageways

  Enter the temple and then jump off the ledge to fall into the water below. Swim left past the floating deadwood until you can̵7;t swim any farther.

  Jump up on a piece of deadwood. Jump up to the wall ledge and then jump down to the deadwood on the left.

  Swim left until you reach the left wall. Jump on the deadwood and then up to the ledge above. Jump right to the floating ledge, followed by the stationary ledge above it and then jump up to the pendulum-style swinging ledge. Wait until the ledge swings left and then jump to the ledge next to the door panel.
Secret Door

  Open your Items bag and look at the symbols on the Translation Key card. Memorize the symbols for "OPEN" and then close the bag.

  Click the door lock panel. The screen will update to zoom in on the face. Click the teeth that spell ̶0;OPEN̶1; using the symbols. Starting from the left, the correct sequence is the upper second tooth, the middle bottom tooth, the last bottom tooth and the last upper tooth.

  Click the triangular nose on the face. The eyes will light up and the door will disappear into the ceiling. Walk left through the doorway.
