How to Get to the Steamwheedle Port in World of Warcraft

Before the Shattering, Steamwheedle Port was a neutral village of goblins and trolls located on the coast of Tanaris in Southern Kalimdor. When Deathwing rose from Deepholm and shattered Azeroth, the town was destroyed by floodwaters, but if you're curious -- or nostalgic -- you can fly over the ruins and see the destruction for yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Obtain a Flight Master's License; this item grants you the ability to use flying mounts in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. You can buy it from flying trainers in Stormwind City and Orgrimmar, as well as from the flying trainers in Outland and Northrend.

    • 2

Travel to Gadgetzan, the neutral goblin city located in the Tanaris desert, using a flying mount or via flight point.

    • 3

Fly east of Gadgetzan on your flying mount. As you near the coast, you'll see the ruins of Steamwheedle Port sticking out of the water. Survivors cling to the tops of some of the buildings; you can land on the rooftops, but there are no quests available here.
