Fremennik Series
The quickest way for members with a magic level below 72 to access Waterbirth is to visit Rellekka, a northern coastal province inhabited by the socially withdrawn Fremennik tribes. The Fremennik are viewed as barbarians by outlanders due to their tribal garments and seemingly primitive lifestyle. Since Fremennik are equally untrusting of outsiders, you must gain their respect by starting the Fremennik Trials, a quest that grants you admittance to the tribe. Prior to accepting the quest, the council members of Rellekka forbid the people to speak with outlanders, so you cannot speak to the ferryman about traveling to other Fremennik isles.
Sailing to Waterbirth
The ease of passage to Waterbirth Island depends on your successful completion of the Fremennik Trials. After finishing the quest, speak to the ferryman Jarvald at the northwestern pier in Rellekka. Jarvald voluntarily ferries newly instated tribesmen to and from Waterbirth, as the Fremennik are known for braving perilous, scarcely-inhabited lands throughout ̶0;RuneScape.̶1; However, Jarvald is one of many opportunistic characters in ̶0;RuneScape̶1; and will bend the rules for players who haven̵7;t finished the quest. The Fremennik Trials is a lengthy quest involving various tests to prove your worthiness. As long as the quest is active, you can pay Jarvald 1,000 gold for passage to Waterbirth.
Lunar Teleports
The Lunar Magicks are a group of advanced spells available to you at level 65 magic and above. Additionally, you must complete the Lunar Diplomacy quest in order to understand the book of lunar spells. The spellbook contains the level 72 Waterbirth Teleport and level 73 Waterbirth group teleport, which allows you to transport multiple players simultaneously. The individual teleport requires one law rune, one water rune and two astral runes. The group teleport requires the same amount of law and astral runes, but uses five water runes. Both teleports position the player near Jarvald̵7;s ship at Waterbirth Island.
Fremennik Sea Boots
The level 3 Fremennik sea boots offer another method of reaching Waterbirth Island. As you travel the world of ̶0;RuneScape̶1; you are presented with lists of regional tasks that can be completed for local rewards. The Fremennik Province tasks contain varying levels, including easy, medium, hard and elite. Players are awarded the Fremennik sea boots, which are upgraded as you complete each level of tasks. Completion of the hard tasks grants you the option of teleporting directly to Waterbirth island using a magic lyre. However, going through the Fremennik Trials is also a requirement for this option because the lyre can only be obtained during the quest. Wearing the sea boots allows you to change the teleport location from Rellekka to Waterbirth Island while speaking with Olaf the Bard in Rellekka.
