How to Get to Hellfire Peninsula From Ironforge

The Hellfire Peninsula is the first area that level 58 or higher characters experience in the Outlands region of "World of Warcraft." Blizzard added this region to the game with the "Burning Crusade" expansion pack. The Outlands are accessible through the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands on the Eastern Kingdoms continent. The Alliance capital city Ironforge, situated on the central part of this continent, provides relatively quick access to the Blasted Lands.

Instructions

  Enter Ironforge and travel to the The Great Forge, the central hub of the city.

  Walk down to the eastern side of The Great Forge. Look for the dwarven non-playable character named Gryth Thurden, flanked by two gryphon roosts. Talk to Gryth Thurden, the flight master.

  Click the Blasted Lands flightpath that ends in Nethergarde Keep in the Blasted Lands. You'll pass through Duskwood and the Swamp of Sorrows before landing at your destination.

  Travel due south from Nethergarde Keep until you reach a large depression in the land surrounded by various demon monsters. A camp of neutral non-playable characters reside before the gate, giving quests to any level-appropriate player characters that pass by.

  Ride, fly or walk through the large gate at the end of this depression to enter the Hellfire Peninsula region of the Outlands.
