How to Get Tons of Pebbles in Backyard Monsters

"Backyard Monsters" is an online game where you build your own little community in your "backyard" -- where you build a small area, harvest resources and then defend it with everything from catapults to monsters grown from ooze. Because pebbles are one of the resources needed to build almost everything, you should keep as many as possible. Doing so requires some strategy, though, so it pays to have a few tips and tricks on your side.

Instructions

Start gathering pebbles by building Pebble Shiners. Building these requires pebbles, but the more of them you have, the more pebbles you're producing. You can only have so many, based on the size of your backyard, but always build up to the limit that you can.

Build Storage Silos. These silos allow you to store more resources, keeping more pebbles on hand for use in your buildings. You do need to empty the Shiners and take the pebbles to the silos, but this is a simple exchange for the additional storage capacity.

Build defenses around your town to protect your Shiners and Silos. If you are attacked -- and you will be, either by players or by the game's random monsters -- you must be able to hold them off. Building strong defenses with the pebbles you're saving, and hatching monsters to keep your town safe, are very good measures.

Stay logged in as much as you can. The random attacks of the game won't happen as long as you're logged in and active. Once you log out though, you're likely to get attacked, which will lead to repairs or a loss of resources.
