How to Fish for Turtle Mount in World of Warcraft

Originally added to "World of Warcraft" with the "Wrath of the Lich King" expansion, the Sea Turtle is the only mount in the game that can be obtained exclusively through fishing. On land, this mount provides no speed bonus and moves at your normal running speed, while in water it grants a 60 percent movement speed bonus. This mount is a very rare catch from fishing pools in "Wrath of the Lich King" and "Cataclysm" zones. Obtaining it grants the achievement "Turtles All the Way Down."

  Decide which zone you want to fish in. You can focus on zones with a high concentration of fishing pools, such as Sholazar Basin or inland waters in Uldum, or choose a zone with fishing pools that yield valuable fish, such as Highland Guppy pools in Twilight Highlands or Fathom Eel pools on the coast of Uldum.

  Travel to your chosen zone and locate a fishing pool.

  Fish in the pool until it disappears, then find another.

  Continue fishing in pools until you catch the Sea Turtle. Because of its extreme rarity, you should expect to spend days or even months trying to catch it, depending on your luck.
