How to Kill a Bhaalgorn

In the massive online galaxy of ̶0;EVE Online,̶1; the Bhaalgorn is a Tech I Battleship-class vessel that strikes fear into the hearts of all its targets. The ship can carry eight laser cannons, with seven high-power slots, five medium-power slots and seven low-power slots. Taking on a Bhaalgorn alone is not recommended unless you are flying a larger and more powerful ship, as the base stats of the vessel make it an outstanding tank that can absorb considerable damage. That being said, the Bhaalgorn has several weaknesses, which you can exploit to defeat it.

  Recruit a few friends with Tech I battleships. A numerical advantage will be of great assistance to you when you try to destroy a Bhaalgorn.

  Fight the Bhaalgorn with ships that trade speed for armor or power. One of the Bhaalgorn̵7;s inherent weaknesses is its slow speed and lack of maneuverability. Both the Machariel and the Vindicator are more agile than the Bhaalgorn.

  Equip your ships with weapons that focus on EM damage as well as Explosive damage. EM damage is best achieved with lasers, while explosive damage is usually achieved through missiles.

  Furnish your fleet with at least one battleship that is equipped with a warp scrambler. You will also want a jammer somewhere in the fleet to prevent the Bhaalgorn from returning fire.

  Jam and scramble the Bhaalgorn to open your barrage. This will severely limit the ship's offensive and defensive capabilities.

  Focus on dealing EM damage until the Bhaalgorn̵7;s shield drops. Its shield has resistances against all other types of damage.

  Switch your damage-type to Explosive damage once you are down to the ship̵7;s armor. A Bhaalgorn has strong armor with resistances against all types of damage, but it is most vulnerable to Explosive-type ammunition.

  Continue attacking the Bhaalgorn until you have successfully destroyed the vessel.
