How Do I Access My Rooms on IMVU?

"IMVU," an online virtual-reality chat site, allows you to be anyone you can imagine. The site also allows you to build intricate chat rooms where you can spend time with other "IMVU" members. You are awarded a free chat room when you first join "IMVU," and you can also buy any number of additional rooms from the site's shop. You can access these chat rooms through the IMVU chat client.

Instructions

  Access the IMVU chat client by clicking the ̶0;Start̶1; button in the bottom-left corner of your computer screen. Click the ̶0;IMVU̶1; folder and then click ̶0;Run IMVU.̶1;

  Enter your user name and password if prompted. The IMVU chat client will load and you will be taken to the main menu, where you will see your avatar and a series of channel options. Click on the box with the house logo in the center that is labeled ̶0;My Room.̶1;

  Wait for your default room to load. Click on the small image of a house in the toolbar at the bottom of the page. This will bring up a menu of the other rooms in your inventory.

  Click on the room that you want to travel to. The selected room will load in your chat client.
