Faldir̵7;s Cove
The Sunken Treasure quest that requires the Elven Gem begins at Faldir̵7;s Cove, located at the southwest corner of the Arathi Highlands. Travel to the Arathi Highlands on the Eastern Kingdoms continent if you̵7;ve left Faldir̵7;s Cove since accepting the quest. Faldir̵7;s Cove is a hidden area; you can access it through a cave located behind Stromgarde Keep at the west side of the Arathi Highlands.
Goggles of Gem Hunting
Doctor Draxlegauge, who provides the Sunken Treasure quest after you finish the Goggle Boggle quest at Faldir̵7;s Cove, provides you with the Goggles of Gem Hunting when you accept the quest. You can equip the Goggles of Gem Hunting by right-clicking them in your bags. The goggles appear as green lenses with a gold trim. If you no longer have the goggles, you can abandon the quest by selecting it in your quest log and clicking the ̶0;Abandon̶1; button, then re-accept it from Doctor Draxleguage at Faldir̵7;s Cove. He provides you with a new set of goggles when you start the quest.
Diving for Gems
Head out from Faldir̵7;s Cove towards the sea and dive into the water off the end of the cove. Nearby underwater Elven Gems appear on your minimap as small, yellow dots. The Elven Gems appear on the sea floor as white rocks. You can mouse-over a rock to see whether it̵7;s an Elven Gem or not; your cursor changes if it̵7;s an Elven Gem. Right-click an Elven Gem while near it underwater to place it in your bags. Swim towards the surface before your breath meter runs out or you̵7;ll drown.
Completion
Take the Elven Gems to Doctor Draxlegauge near the pirate ship at Faldir̵7;s Cove to receive your reward. He takes the Elven Gems and Goggles of Gem Hunting and provides you with your choice of a magical item, silver coins, experience and reputation with the Booty Bay faction. You can accept the Speak to Shades quest from him to continue the quest chain. Remember to re-equip your normal helm by right-clicking it in your bags after finishing the quest.
