Dragon Items
Dragon items are available to paying members only. They include both weapons and armor; all are a distinctive dark red in color. Dragon items are considered to be a step up in quality from Rune items. Dragon armor requires a defense level of 60 to use; Dragon weapons all require an Attack level of 60. The Dragon Spear, Dragon Arrows and Dragon Dagger can all be poisoned to make them more effective.
The Dragon Dagger
The Dragon Dagger gives you various bonuses including a +40 bonus to your stabbing attack, +25 to your slashing attack and a +40 Strength bonus. The price of a Dragon Dagger depends on the level of poison it has been imbued with. Unpoisoned Dragon Daggers are the cheapest, while a dagger carrying a high-level poison -- known as a DDP++ or a DDS -- is the most expensive. It is rare to find unpoisoned Dragon Daggers in use.
Poison Effects
Along with the initial damage inflicted when a creature is first poisoned, the poison effect continues to do damage in diminishing amounts until it wears off, is cured, or kills the poisoned creature. A creature poisoned in combat will go on taking damage even after a fight is over, and will need to replenish life points to stay alive. The poison effect also obstructs activities such as resting. You can avoid being poisoned using antipoison potions or items, but furthermore, a poison attack will not always result in becoming poisoned.
Poisoned Weapons.
When you attack a player, non-player character or monster with a poisoned weapon like the DDS, you have a chance of poisoning it if your blow connects. As long as you score a hit, your enemy may be poisoned, even if you have not inflicted any points of normal damage. You can poison your own weapons with potions mixed using the Herblore skill, have the weapon poisoned for a fee, or buy weapons that are already poisoned. Three levels of weapon poison are available, denoted by the symbols "p," "p+" and "p++." A DDS is a Dragon Dagger that's been treated with p++ weapon poison. A DDS inflicts more poison damage than a dagger treated with one of the weaker poisons.
