How to Make an Apple in Defense of the Ancients

"Defense of the Ancients," commonly known as DotA, is a "Warcraft III" custom map that focuses on leveling heroes while advancing with auto-spawned minions through one of three map lanes. An "apple" in DotA refers to a unique ASCII symbol used in player names and in the multiplayer chat.

Instructions

      Press "Enter" to begin typing in the Defense of the Ancient's chat box. This code also works in the player name box.

      Hold down your "Alt" key. Type "0239" on your number pad. Release the "Alt" key to create the character for the apple's stem.

    • 3

      Hold down the "Alt" key and type "0128." Release "Alt." This forms the body of the apple. Some players repeat this character twice to finish the apple symbol.
