How to Build a Pirate on MapleStory

"MapleStory" is an online adventure video game that enlists the help of players to protect Maple World from the impending return of the Black Mage. Though every character begins with the same abilities and limitations, they become more specialized over the course of the game in various disciplines. The pirate class takes advantage of high speed and ranged combat, and in later levels even gives access to a powerful pirate ship.

  Log in to your "MapleStory" account and select the option to "Create a Character."

  Name your character, customize its appearance using the arrows next to the "hair," "eyes" and "skin" fields, and click "Roll" under the stats section to randomly allocate points to your character's various stats. Since the pirate class makes the best use of dexterity, continue rolling until you have at least 10 dexterity points.

  Defeat enemies on the tutorial island where all characters begin until you reach level 10 and have at least 20 dexterity points.

  Go to Nautilus Port and speak with the pirate trainer, Kairin. Accept her offer to train as a pirate. Your character will automatically learn its first class-specific abilities during this time.
