How to Use World of Warcraft Necrosis Mod

In Blizzard Entertainment's "World of Warcraft," players can opt to use a "Warlock" character, capable of applying curses and summoning fearsome minions. Managing the class's various abilities may prove daunting at times, but fortunately there are special mods, or add-ons, available to help simplify the playing experience. One such mod, "Necrosis LdC," adds a feature to the user interface that provides information about currently active spells, as well as an array of easily accessible buttons designed to assist in the use of certain abilities.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your "World of Warcraft" application folder. Navigate to the "Interface" folder and find the "AddOns" folder contained within. Copy your "Necrosis" folder to the "AddOns" folder. Launch the "World of Warcraft" application and log into a character of the "Warlock" class.

    • 2

Examine the screen and locate the purple sphere that features the controls to the "Necrosis" add-on. Click and drag the sphere to a different location on your screen, if desired. Note the location of the "Healthstone," "Soulstone," "Spell Menu," "Demon Menu" and "Curse Menu" buttons, arrayed around the edge of the purple sphere.

    • 3

Examine the screen and find the small, golden sphere located near the top; this sphere will display the spells that you have active on your currently selected target. Drag the sphere to a different location on your screen, if desired.

    • 4

Press the "Enter" key to bring up the command box. Type "/necrosis" into the command box, without the quotation marks. Press "Enter" to bring up the "Necrosis" options menu. Review the options listed in the "Message Settings" and make any desired changes.

    • 5

Navigate to the "Sphere Settings" tab. Use the slider controls to adjust the size of the purple sphere, if desired. Change the sphere's appearance, if desired, by selecting a different option from the "Skin of the Sphere" menu. Review the remaining settings and make any desired changes.

    • 6

Navigate to the "Button Settings" tab. Toggle the addon's various buttons on or off, as desired. Clear the "Stick buttons around the Sphere" checkbox if you wish to move the buttons to different locations on the screen.

    • 7

Review the options in the "Menu" and "Timer" settings and make any desired changes. Navigate to the "Miscellaneous" tab and check the "Lock Necrosis" button to prevent any further changes to the positioning of the addon's buttons.
