Best Tricks
There are numerous different tricks that players can perform in Cart Surfer. Each trick awards a different amount of points. There are two tricks that award a much larger number of points than the others. The Air Twist awards 80 points when performed. Perform it by pressing the "Space" bar to jump and pressing the "Left" or "Right" direction key while still in midair. The Back Flip awards 100 points when performed. Perform it by holding the "Down" direction key before pressing the "Space" bar to jump into the air.
Alternate Tricks
Performing the same trick over and over again is not an efficient way to earn points. The score for performing a trick is halved if it is identical to the last trick you performed. For example, if you perform a Back Flip immediately after another Back Flip, you earn only 50 points instead of the normal 100. The most efficient way to earn points is to swap between the Back Flip and Air Twist when moving along straight sections of track.
Temporary Invulnerability
You start with three lives at the beginning of a Cart Surfer game. Missing a turn or botching a trick causes you to lose a life. For a few seconds after dying, you are temporarily invulnerable. You cannot lose a life during this time. You should spend it performing tricks to bump up your score as much as possible. You should get at least two tricks in before you become vulnerable to losing another life.
Stamps
You can earn 12 stamps while playing Cart Surfer. Earning all 12 stamps doubles the amount of coins you earn at the end of the game. You need to have a black puffle with you when you are playing to earn all 12 stamps. You will naturally earn almost all of the stamps in the course of playing the game. The only stamp that has a requirement that is not something most players would do naturally is Flip Mania. This stamp requires you to flip 20 times in a row without crashing.
