How to Become a Ranger in Ragnarok

In "Ragnarok Online," players can choose from dozens of classes. The Ranger is an upper tier class that specializes in the bow and has a wolf companion that the character can ride on. He also receives class specific bonuses when attacking natural monsters, such as fish, beasts and plants. His skills revolve around wilderness survival, and he can use them to turn invisible, shoot enemies from a great distance and improve the efficiency of traps.

Instructions

  Create a Hunter or Sniper class character. Only Hunters and Snipers can become Rangers.

  Fight monsters and complete quests until your character is at level 99 or higher.

  Travel to Alberta, which is to the southeast of Payon. You can take an airship there from several locations, including Einbroch, Lighthalzen, Hugel and Rachel.

  Enter the Ranger Lodge and speak with the Survival Instructor. He'll tell you to remove all your equipment and items so that your total weight is zero. Open your inventory and drop everything.

  Speak with the instructor again. He'll send you to Turtle Island. Your job is to make it to the Test Instructor without dying. Do your best to avoid combat.

  Walk northwest. You'll find the instructor at the very tip of the island. Speak with him; he will tell you to get him a dragonfly wing.

  Hunt for a dragonfly in the nearby forests. If you're lucky, it will drop a wing after you kill it. If not, hunt for another one.

  Return to the instructor with the dragonfly wing. He'll teleport you to the practice fields, and you must then complete three quests. The first test places you on an island, where you must shoot 15 out of 20 monsters.

  Shoot the monsters named Poring, but do not kill the others. If you fail the quest, you'll be teleported back to your last save point. If you succeed, you'll move onto the second test. In this test, you're pit against a series of monsters, and your only weapon is a set of traps.

  Lay one trap for each monster. These traps will follow you for a second and then take another three seconds to explode. Place them between yourself and the monster, so that as the monster charges you, it gets caught in the explosion. Do not get caught in the explosion yourself. Once you kill all the monsters, you will be teleported to your final test.

  Speak with the instructor; he'll tell you to disable 10 bombs using a wolf. Compared to the other tests, this one is simple. Press the "Alt" key on your keyboard and then click on a bomb. The wolf will move to the bomb and disarm it. Once you've completed the test, you'll be teleported to the Ranger Master.

  Speak with the Ranger Master. He'll ask you if you're ready to become a Ranger. Accept his offer.
