Go to your LEGO property. Simply select the option once you're logged in, and you can go right to your own piece of LEGO land and get to work.
Decide what sort of monster you want to build. Whether you want to build a towering robot, a hulking Frankenstein or you simply want to have a many-tentacled Kraken, you need to have a rough idea of what your monster should look like before you start building. You need to know not just the appearance, but the scale you're going for as well.
Select the base for your creature. If you're building something humanoid, then large, blocky pieces work well for the feet. If you are making a monster that doesn't have feet though, you will need to go through all of the available LEGO pieces and find something workable for your design.
Build off the base and create the rest of the monster. For humanoid creatures, adding regular squares for the legs and building with a wide, rectangular torso works well enough for basics. Add the arms, which can be down at the sides, or held out in front like a zombie for a monstrous effect. Construct the head and neck.
Add details. There are parts and pieces that light up, or that attach to the sides of the existing pieces. You can also change the color, or add movement to your monster if you want it to move. Once you've built it up to where you like it, you can set it aside and make another, different creature if you want.
