How to Make a Blood Puddle in The Sims 2

Whether you are trying to build a staged set for a vampire scene or simply want to gross out your Sims, blood puddles will help. These puddles are user-created content and are not included with the original "Sims 2" PC game. Before you can place the blood puddles in-game, you need to download and install a specific add-on.

File compression program such as WinZip or WinRAR

  Download the "Puddles of Blood" add-on from the "Mod The Sims" website. The only file you need to download is "Blood.zip," although you can also download "GreenGoo.zip" and "Oilspill.zip" if you want goo and oil puddles in addition to the blood puddles. Save the files to a location you will easily remember, such as your desktop.

  Extract the contents of the zip files to your "Sims 2" "Downloads" folder using the file compression program. If this is the first time you've installed custom content for "Sims 2," you will have to create the "Downloads" folder manually.

  Launch the game and load a family as normal.

  Switch to buy mode and select the "Sculptures" menu.

  Select the blood puddle from the menu and place it as you would place any other object.
