How to Build an Archer in MapleStory

Archer is a character class in the online role playing adventure game "MapleStory." Archers are long-range attackers who strike down their foes with a bow and arrow, or a crossbow. "MapleStory" characters progress through 200 levels. Each time you gain a level, you are given a number of Skill Points to assign to your various attacks and abilities. The following guide shows how to distribute these points for a strong, balanced Archer. From Level 156 on, the skill build largely comes down to personal preference.

Instructions

    • 1

Create a new "MapleStory" character in the Bowman class. Build up to Level 10 by collecting experience points from quests and battles, and head to the town of Henesys on Victoria Island. Go to the tree house at the right side of town, and speak to Helena to become an Archer.

    • 2

Level up your character, assigning Skill Points in the following order. Assign two points to the Double Shot skill and five to Eye of Amazon. Fill Double Shot to its maximum of 20 points, then do the same with Critical Shot. Put 15 Skill Points into Focus before you reach Level 30, when new skills will be unlocked.

    • 3

Put one Skill Point into Iron Arrow before adding 20 to Mastery. Assign six points to Booster and two to each of Soul Arrow and Iron Arrow, before filling Bomb to maximum. Max out Final Attack, then put 10 points into Enhanced Basics and two into Soul Arrow before maxing out Booster. Max out Power Knock-Back and use the final points up to Level 70 to fill up Soul Arrow. New skills are unlocked at Level 70.

    • 4

Assign one Skill Point to Inferno, before putting five into Mortal Blow. Then fill Eruption to its maximum of 30 points, then Inferno and Mortal Blow to 20 points each. Put 10 Skill Points into Thrust and Dodge, then 20 into Puppet and 21 into Strafe. Assign the final 20 points up to Level 120 to Hawk.

    • 5

Start the fourth job by assigning one Skill Point to each of Hurricane, Bow Expertise and Phoenix, before maxing out Sharp Eyes at three points. Max out Hurricane and Bow Expertise before putting 10 points into Marksmanship, Maple Warrior and Concentrate. Assign the remaining Skill Points up to Level 200 to your preferred skills, as all builds after Level 156 will be of equivalent strength.
