How to Beat the Man in Darts in Poptropica

Play through the Loch Ness section of Cryptids Island until you're challenged to a game of darts by a man in the pub. He will offer you a ticket to a rowboat if you can beat him at darts. The screen will change to show a dartboard on the right side and three darts arranged along the left side of the screen.

Click on any one of the darts to temporarily make the dart your cursor. Use the mouse to move this dart cursor until it is pointing at the center of the dart board. The bullseye is worth 50 points, so it's best to aim for that. If you want to aim at a larger target, aim for the "20" area. Hold the mouse button down after you are aiming at your desired target to bring up a yellow "X" target marker.

Slide your mouse back towards you while holding the left mouse button down to simulate pulling the dart back to throw at the board. Release the left mouse button to throw the dart at the yellow "X." The distance that you pull the mouse towards you affects your throw. If you don't pull the mouse back at all, the dart will fall to the floor when you throw it, and if you pull the mouse back too far then the dart will fly over the dart board. Start with the mouse at the top of your mouse pad, then pull it back roughly halfway on the mouse pad towards before releasing the mouse button.

Throw three darts in all to complete the game. Your only objective is to have more points than your opponent, and one bullseye will generally be enough to beat him. If you do lose the game, talk to the man again and he'll challenge you to a rematch.
