How Do You Report In StarCraft II?

StarCraft II's multiplayer component was marketed heavily by Blizzard, and these efforts yielded record sales. With multiplayer gaming at the heart of this video game franchise, your online experience relies heavily on interactions with other players. The occasional cheating or grossly offensive player can spoil your StarCraft II experience, but Blizzard has a reporting mechanism in place to deal with inappropriate gamers. From within the StarCraft II interface, you can report players for their online behavior.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert your StarCraft II disc and open the game.

    • 2

Click "Multiplayer" to log into StarCraft II's Battle.net platform.

    • 3

Click on your "Match History" to view previously played online games.

    • 4

Scroll the list until you find the game with the inappropriate player. Click on the match to select it. Match details appear on screen, including game time, game mode, who won the match and the match players.

    • 5

Right-click on the offending player's name from the list of match players.

    • 6

      Click the "More" option.

    • 7

      Click "Report Player."

    • 8

Click on the "Reason for report" drop-down box and select an appropriate category. You can choose "Spam," "Harassment," "Real-life Threat," "Inappropriate Name" or "Cheating."

    • 9

Type a description of the incident in the blank text field under the "Please provide more information heading." Be as specific as possible to increase the chances that Blizzard will take your report seriously.

    • 10

Click "Send Report." Blizzard investigates the report and takes action accordingly, but they do not tell you if the player is banned. Once you submit the report, it is out of your hands.
