Requirements for Random Cataclysm Dungeons on World of Warcraft

Blackrock Caverns and Throne of the Tides

• To queue for Blackrock Caverns and Throne of the Tides, your character must be level 80 or above. Additionally, your average item level must be 226 or above. You can easily reach the required item level with items rewarded from quests in the first two "Cataclysm" zones, Mount Hyjal and Vashj'ir; you may also be able to find bind-on-equip items with the appropriate item level on the auction house.

Stonecore and Vortex Pinnacle

• To queue for Stonecore and Vortex Pinnacle, your character must be level 81 or above. Additionally, your average item level must be 272 or above. If you have obtained a full set of equipment from quests in Mount Hyjal and Vashj'ir you will already be at or above this item level; if not, examine your equipment and check the item level of each item to determine which items you need to replace, then continue questing in Mount Hyjal or Vashj'ir. Once you reach level 82, switch to questing in the Deepholm zone to obtain items with a higher item level. You can also purchase bind-on-equip items on the auction house or obtain bind-on-pickup items from Blackrock Caverns or Throne of the Tides.

Grim Batol, Halls of Origination and Lost City of the Tol'vir

• To queue for Grim Batol, Halls of Origination and Lost City of the Tol'vir, your character must be level 84 or above. Additionally, your average item level must be 305 or above. Quests in the Uldum and Twilight Highlands zones reward items above that item level. You may also be able to find bind-on-equip items on the auction house or obtain bind-on-pickup items from Stonecore or Vortex Pinnacle.

Heroic Dungeons

• To queue for normal heroic dungeons, your character must be level 85. Additionally, your average item level must be 329 or above. There are only a handful of items rewarded by quests at or above this item level. To meet this requirement, you can purchase bind-on-equip gear from the auction house, obtain items from various reputation factions, purchase gear with justice points or obtain bind-on-pickup gear from Grim Batol, Halls of Origination or Lost City of the Tol'vir.

Zandalari Heroic Dungeons

• To queue for Zandalari heroic dungeons, your character must be level 85. Additionally, your average item level must be 346 or above. To reach this item level, gather gear from normal heroic dungeons and supplement it with reputation items, bind-on-equip items purchased on the auction house and gear purchased with justice and valor points.
