Instructions
Acquire armor and weapons suitable for your class from emblem vendors, faction quartermasters, enemy loot drops or the auction houses in your faction's capitals. Mages are restricted to cloth armor and should prioritize the following statistics: Intellect, Hit Rating, Spell Power, Haste, Critical Strike and Mastery.
Target any enemy and click or press the hotkey assigned to the following spells, listed in order of priority, to inflict damage upon single enemy targets: Frostfire Orb, Deep Freeze, Frostfire Bolt, Ice Lance, Freeze and Frostbolt.
Cast Frostfire Bolts to coincide with Brain Freeze, a temporary spell buff that each cast frost spell has a chance to trigger. Likewise, cast Deep Freeze and Ice Lance when the Fingers of Frost buff is active.
Cast Blizzard, an area-of-effect (AoE) spell on grouped enemies to deal damage to all targets inside the spell radius and slow enemy movement speed. If mana conservation is a concern, use Cone of Cold to inflict damage upon all enemies in a 90-degree arc for up to 10 yards directly in front of you.
Use utility spells in group combat situations like dungeons or raids to increase your group's survivability. Cast Time Warp to briefly augment your entire party's damage output in encounters that require your group to defeat mobs quickly. Summon your water elemental to assist you against enemy mobs and use your Ring of Frost spell to freeze enemies within the spell radius for up to 10 seconds, granting your party a brief reprieve from incoming damage.
Watch your threat meter and avoid diverting the attention of enemies from the tank in dungeon or raid situations. Lower your cast rate or stop casting briefly when your threat meter turns yellow or red to avoid drawing enemy aggression.
