How to Unlock the Blood Mage Specialization in Dragon Age

Blood Mage is one of several specializations available for the Mage character class in the "Dragon Age: Origins" role-playing game. To unlock this specialization, you must play through the game using a Mage as the main character and choose a specific course of action during a quest.

Instructions

  Play through the game until you unlock the "Arl of Redcliffe" quest chain.

  Travel to Redcliffe Village and proceed through the quest chain until you are inside the basement of Redcliffe Castle.

  Free Jowan and persuade him to help you.

  Continue through the quest chain until you are at the point where you have to make a decision on how to deal with the demon possessing Connor.

  Agree to the ritual to enter the Fade.
- 6
  Proceed through the Fade as normal until you reach the desire demon at the end.
- 7
  Accept the demon's bargain and select the "Arcane secrets. I want to know specialized blood magic" option when the demon asks you to choose a reward to unlock the Blood Mage specialization.
