How to Find People in the World of Warcraft Community

"World of Warcraft" includes a series of commands that allow players to obtain information about the game itself, including the status of other players. The /who command displays users and their location in the "World of Warcraft" community. You use the command to find your friends and family and identify if the user is online or offline.

Instructions

  Open the "World of Warcraft" game and log in to your character account.

  Type the following slash command to find a user and press "Enter":
  
  /who gamer_name
  
  Replace "gamer_name" with the user you are searching. This command uses the exact username. If the user is offline, no results are shown.

  Type the following slash command if you only know part of the gamer's character name:
  
  /who gamer*
  
  In this example, all names that contain "gamer" are shown. The asterisk acts as a wild card character to search for several users at a time.
