Aim for the Rings
Stunt rings are the primary granter of Wow Points in the game. Kick must fly through the rings, whereupon he will perform one of several predetermined stunts and gain points in the process. The location of these rings is random, however, so you will have to search them out. Nearby stunt rings are pointed out by an arrow icon with a small green "O" shape in the center. The "O" shape gets larger the closer you are to the ring.
Upgrade Your Vehicle
Kick may be a raging ball of testosterone served up with a side of daredevil, but he is only as good as his vehicle allows him to be. Purchase upgrades, such as extra boosts -- for extra speed, stronger shields -- to protect you from vultures and anvils, and more confidence -- start higher up the launch ramp, to propel yourself further and give yourself an extra boost in points.
Press the Button!
Kick gathers speed before he launches himself into the air through boosts. Boosts are delivered by pressing the spacebar when the boost gauge needle is in the green area. You can assure yourself of a boost by pressing the spacebar immediately before the needle reaches the green. There is a slight delay between pressing the spacebar and the game registering the button push, so push it early to make it register properly.
Save Your Boosts
Forward momentum is key in "Loco Launcho." Without momentum, you can't steer your vehicle and you can't progress forward. You can gain an extra boost in momentum by pressing the spacebar key in-flight, but you only have a finite amount of these boosts. Save the boosts for when you can no longer maneuver and have started plummeting Earthward. A boost during this time will restore forward momentum and return steering capabilities for a short time.
