How to Dismiss a Pet in World of Warcraft in Order to Tame Another

Hunter characters in the online role-playing game "World of Warcraft" start with only one pet, Once your hunter character reaches Level 10, however, you can begin taming additional pets. Before you can tame a new pet, you must dismiss your current one.

Instructions

      Locate the "Dismiss Pet" and "Tame Beast" abilities in your spellbook. You'll find both abilities in the Beast Mastery tab; the icon for "Dismiss Pet" looks like a grinning purple cat, while the icon for "Tame Beast" is a green hand holding a whip.

      Drag both abilities to one of your action bars so that you can access them easily.

      Click the "Dismiss Pet" ability to dismiss your current pet.

      Target the beast you would like to tame and click the "Tame Beast" ability to tame it as your pet.
