How Do You Cut the Lock on the Garbage Can in Poptropica?

"Poptropica" is an educational, adventure video game intended for young people in which characters embark on a series of themed-island mysteries. "Cryptids Island" features a wealthy eccentric, Mews, who charges you with proving the existence of various cryptids, namely Chupacabra, Loch Ness' Niseag and Bigfoot. Players locate bolt cutters with no apparent reason early in the mission, but their use becomes clear after encountering a chain-locked dumpster.

  Click Mews' helicopter near his mansion and select "Puerto Rico" as your destination.

  Enter the jeep upon arrival and drive to the way-point on your mini-map.

  Jump from branch to branch on the tree at the way-point to reach the top and retrieve the bolt cutters, which go into your inventory.

  Head back to your helicopter and select "New Jersey" as your next destination.
- 5
  Walk to the right upon arrival until you reach a locked dumpster. Open your inventory via the button your your interface and click "USE" by the bolt cutters to cut the lock.
