"Demon's Souls" is an action role-playing game for the PlayStation 3. Players control a customizable character and hack their way through a dark fantasy world. In addition to customizable stats such as strength and dexterity, the character can change his alignment between light and dark. Pure light characters gain a strength bonus while in spirit form, and they also receive the Friendship Ring from the Monumental. In order to become a pure light character, the player must kill dark phantoms.

Start "Demon's Souls" and select Multiplayer from the main menu.

Select level 3-3, the Maneater Archstone. Choose the Old Monk as your character.

Seek out dark phantoms and kill them. Every one you kill increases your tendency by 20 percent. If you are neutral, then five kills will make you Pure Light.
