How to Make Minecraft Hats

Although all player-controlled "Minecraft" characters have identical features, players can use resources they have gathered to craft wearable armor items that modify their character's appearance. In addition to their distinctive look, crafted hats provide protection against enemy attacks, granting the wearer significant defensive bonuses. The resource composition of crafted armor items in "Minecraft" directly determines their defensive strength, with common, readily accessible resources providing the lowest levels of protection and rare, valuable resource providing the highest.

Instructions

Press the "I" key on your keyboard to open your inventory window. Click on your mining pick or use the scroll wheel on your mouse to equip it. • 2

Face the deposit you want to mine and press your left mouse button to begin mining. Hold down the mouse button until the resource block collapses and the extracted resource appears on the ground in its place. Walk over the resource to automatically add it to your inventory.

    • 3

Right-click on your furnace to open the smelting interface. Click on a stack of iron or gold blocks in your inventory window and drag them to the top-left furnace slot.

    • 4

Drag a fuel source such as wood, coal, charcoal or lava from your inventory to the fuel box in your furnace window. If you do not have any fuel source in your inventory, approach any nearby tree and hold down your left mouse button to collect wood, the most plentiful and accessible fuel source in the "Minecraft" world.

    • 5

Drag the resulting metal ingots from the furnace's output box to your inventory when the smelting process has concluded.

    • 6

Right-click on your crafting bench to open the crafting interface and drag your iron or gold ingots to squares one, two, three, four and six of your crafting grid. Drag the crafted helmet from the box on the right side of the crafting window to your head armor slot, located directly to the left of your character picture in the top-left corner of the inventory window, to equip it.
