Dungeoneering Guide for RuneScape

In the massively multi-player online role-playing game fantasy world of "RuneScape," players who want to quickly build up their character's experience points head to Daemonheim to go dungeoneering. In the underground ruins of Daemonheim, players can hunt for treasure and slay monsters without having to worry about losing any valuable equipment if they should die in battle. Players who want to dungeoneer need to learn the basics.
  1. Daemonheim

    • The peninsula of Daemonheim contains a large dungeon available for all members of "RuneScape" to explore. Daemonheim does not require players to meet any skill or quest requirements before they can explore the dungeon. This makes Daemonheim an ideal place for players to build up their character's experience points. To arrive at Daemonheim, players can either choose to walk through the nearby forest or travel by ferry. Traveling through the forest requires players to fight any other characters they come across, while traveling by ferry avoids these potential conflicts.

    Entering the Dungeon

    • Before entering the dungeon of Daemonheim, players must acquire a "Ring of Kinship" from the dungeoneering tutor who stands on the east side of the dungeon entrance. The tutor will answer any basic questions you have about the dungeon and will replace your ring if lost. You cannot enter Daemonheim with any items other than a "Ring of Kinship" or the "Orb of Oculus." All other items must be checked with the bank teller located at the west side of the dungeon entrance. You can collect your items when you leave Daemonheim.

    Forming a Party

    • The "Ring of Kinship" and "Orb of Oculus" allow you to form a dungeoneering party. Your party can consist of one to five players. To form a party, click on either the "Ring of Kinship" or "Orb of Oculus" in your inventory and select the number of players you want in your party. To invite other players to your dungeoneering party, right click on any character within Daemonheim and he will receive an invite in his chatbox. You can also enter an "Auto-group" room, and you will be randomly assigned to a party to begin dungeoneering.

    Dungeon Levels

    • Daemonheim has 60 levels, with each level becoming progressively more difficult the further down you go. The more you dungeoneer, the higher the "Dungeoneering" skill of your character becomes. Players who have completed multiple levels of Daemonheim have the option of selecting which level they want to start at once they enter the dungeon, while new players must start at level one. To travel deeper into Daemonheim, you must complete the previous level and have a "Dungeoneering" rank of double the level you are entering. For example, to enter level 25, you must first complete level 24 and have a "Dungeoneering" ranking of 50.
