How to Find Players in LotRO

"LotRO," short for "Lord of the Rings Online," is a multiplayer roleplaying game set in J.R.R. Tolkien's world of Middle Earth. This free game allows thousands of players to participate in the world's adventures together or by themselves. Players can create fellows, or small six-person groups, to complete quests, as well as kinships, or large persistent groups created for socialization. Players can also meet each other by playing in the same area. Use the game's Social Panel to find players, or use the "/who" command to find a specific player by name.

  Log in to your "Lord of the Rings Online" character.

  Press the "O" key to open the Social Panel, then click "Fellowing." A list of players in your area is displayed. Filter the list to find players looking for a group by clicking "Show LFG Only." You can also show that you are looking for a fellowship by clicking "Player Looking for Fellowship." Find specific players by entering a name in the "Filter" area under "Filter Who List."

  Find a specific player using the "/who" command by typing "/who (player's name)" in the chat window. This displays information -- such as current location, level and class -- about the player.
