For the most part, this involves adjusting the settings to levels low enough to ensure a respectable frame rate, while still leaving a few at levels high enough to improve the game's appearance.

      Launch the "World of Warcraft" application and click on the button labeled "Options," located on the right side of the screen. The "Graphics" section of "Options" screen appears. Find the menus located under the "Display" header. Click "Multisampling" and select the "1x" option. Select "Disabled" from the "Vertical Sync" menu.

      Locate the "Graphics" slider. Click the slider and drag it to the "Low" setting. Find the menus located under the "Textures" header. Click on the menu labeled "Texture Resolution" and choose the "Low" option. Open the "Texture Filtering" menu and select the "Bilinear" option. Click the "Enabled" setting from the "Projected Textures" menu.

      Find the menus located under the "Environment" header. Open the "View Distance" menu and select "Fair" from the list of available options. Select "Fair" from the "Environment Detail" menu. Open the menu labeled "Ground Clutter" and select "Low" from the list of available options.

      Find the menus located under the "Effects" header. Choose the "Low" option from the "Shadow Quality" menu. Open the "Liquid Detail" menu and select "Low" from the list of available options. Open the "Sunshafts" menu and select "Disabled." Click on the "Particle Density" menu and select "Low."

      Click the option labeled "Advanced," located on the left side of the screen. The "Advanced" section of the "Options" screen will appear. Click on the "Triple Buffering" menu and select the "Disabled" option. Open the "Reduce Input Lag" menu and choose "Disabled." Select "Disabled" from the options displayed in the "Hardware Cursor" menu.
