How to Be a Good Cleric in Perfect World International

In the online universe of "Perfect World International," the Cleric fills the traditional healer role known to many role-playing game enthusiasts. As a Cleric, it is your job to provide your party with stat-enhancing buffs and keep everyone healed and alive during large fights. Playing a Cleric can be confusing at first, as you have to re-learn your priorities and stop focusing on enemy monsters or players. Your primary focus should always be on the welfare of your party.

Instructions

    • 1

Invest your stat points into Magic each time you level. This ensures you are able to wear the best items at your given level and increases your mana pool.

    • 2

Wear cloth items that enhance your spell power and mana pool. Do not worry about strength or dexterity, as your role is primarily limited to healing other players.

    • 3

Focus on your spell efficiency. Ironheart Blessing has the best heal to mana ratio of any of your spells, but requires foresight. Blessing of the Purehearted is your most efficient regular heal, while Wellspring Surge can save you in an emergency but will quickly deplete your mana.

    • 4

Set healing priorities for your party members. The tank always comes first, since if he dies everyone else will soon follow. From there, heal DPS or support classes as needed.

    • 5

Monitor your aggro. Every monster you fight has an aggro meter; whichever player is high enough on this meter is the one that he will attack. Healing generates aggro, so you have to let your tank build this stat before you go overboard on heals or you risk drawing the attention of the monster.

    • 6

Cast Vanguard Spirit on tanks before they pull enemies. This buff increases their defense, lowering the damage they take and their need for heals.

    • 7

Watch your party members for dangerous debugs such as poisons or curses. You can use Purify to cleanse these spells before they do too much damage.
