How to Install a Softmod to SRO

Softmod is a cheating program used in conjunction with the computer video game Silk Road Online. To correctly install Softmod, you will need a clean installation of Silk Road Online. Softmod is typically stored in an archive file. It is recommended that you create a backup of your Silk Road directory before installing Softmod. That way, if anything goes wrong, you can restore the original files.

Instructions

  Click "Start" then "Control Panel."

  Click "Add or Remove Programs." Select "Silk Road Online" from the list of programs. Click "Uninstall."

  Install "Silk Road Online."

  Click "Start" then "My Computer." Open the primary hard drive.

  Right-click and select "New Folder." The backup copy of "Silk Road Online" will go into this folder so name it accordingly.

  Copy all the files and folders in your "Silk Road Online" primary directory, and paste them into the folder created in step 5.

  Right-click the archive file containing Softmod and click "Extract To." Select the "Silk Road" directory as the destination.

  Click "Yes" to any overwrite requests to install Softmod.
