How to Make Chams in Combat Arms

"Combat Arms" is a free online first-person shooter that allows you to battle with and against other players in a range of online game types. One of the effects you can apply is to make old and white chams -- short for chameleons. This is where you remove all color and texture from the game, making you play in grey and white. This helps reduce lag time in the game, as it no longer has to load the textures.

Instructions

  Click on the "Start" button, and select "Computer" from the start menu.

  Select "Program Files," and then choose "Combat Arms." Open the "Game" folder.

  Click on the "New Folder" button, and create a folder for the texture files you'll remove. You can call the folder whatever you like -- for example, "Textures" -- to ensure you don't lose track of the files.

  Scroll through the files in the "Game" folder that start with "texture." Drag all these files into the new folder you have created. This will remove all of the textures from the map.

  Drag the files that begin with "guns_T," "Chars_T" and "attach_T." This will remove the color and textures for the guns, the characters in the game and the backpacks attached to the characters.
