How to Make Sully's Robot Talk on Poptropica

Sully's robot "Sprocket" is a character in the online adventure game "Poptropica." Sprocket is found on the "Steamworks Island," which is the fourteenth island released for the game. You are informed that Sully's robot appears to be unresponsive when you instruct your character to speak to it. The robot won't talk when you ask it questions even after you activate it. The robot will only trust you enough to start talking after you save it.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the Poptropica website and log into your account. Click "Steamworks Island," on the bottom right corner of the game map. It is situated just above "Skullduggery Island" and to the left of "24 Carrot Island."

    • 2

Walk to the right once you arrive on the island. Go past the "Clockwork Catina" and you'll see a garbage heap. Left click the garbage heap to receive the "Steam Battery."

    • 3

Walk to the left until you reach "Sully's Steam Powered Paraphernalia." Continue past it until you see a building with a big mechanical gear in the middle. Jump up the platforms until you reach the top of the building and you will see a robotic crab scurrying about.

    • 4

Jump on top of the crab to flip it over and you will receive the key to Sully's. Pick up the crab by walking over it. Pick up the old vine found in the left of the area as well. Return to Sully's and left click the steam terminal to the right of the door.

    • 5

Reduce the steam pressure by five points for the door to open. Click the valves until the total pressure (shown at the bottom of the screen) reads "-05." Left click the wheel on the top left of the screen once you have the valves positioned correctly and the door will open.

    • 6

Enter Sully's and walk to the right. You'll find Sully's robot lying in the corner. Left click the bell lying on the desk next to the robot. You'll see the bell next to the red and green books. The robot will wake up from its slumber but you will receive no response if you try to talk to it.

    • 7

Exit the shop and you'll find the robot is now following you. Go all the way to the right (past the Steam Works Gear Shop) until you reach the hub area.

    • 8

Walk over to the glowing hot valve, open your inventory and select the robot crab. Sully's robot will take it from you and drop it on the valve to cool it down. Click the now-cool valve to open it.

    • 9

Go down the steps and walk all the way to the left. Drop down and walk right until you reach the plant monster. Open your inventory and select the old vine you picked up near the robot crab. Your character will automatically use it on the steam pipe to scare the plant monster off.

    • 10

Continue to the right and then drop down and walk left until you see a valve and pressure gauge next to an "elevator" sign. Left click the "maze" emblem above the pressure gauge to start a puzzle.

    • 11

Move your mouse left or right to rotate the maze. The goal is to drop the ball down the center of the maze three times. Your character will mention that "something" is being powered once you drop the ball down the center of the maze for the last time.

    • 12

Return to the surface then go up the platforms and left click the switch above where you came out. This will start the hub wheel in the middle of the area. Jump on top of the platform that is rotating along with the wheel.

    • 13

Jump off the platform as soon as it reaches the top right side of the screen. Your character will land on a copper pipe next to an air vent. Jump onto the air vent so it blows your character up into the air. Land on the platform to the left.

    • 14

Jump left onto the vine then continue left until you reach the "Captains Cabin." Left click the door to enter and you'll see a scene where vines grab the robot.

    • 15

Jump down and left click each one of the tree windows where the vines are coming through. This will close the windows and break the vines' hold on the robot. The robot will thank you and finally begin to talk.
